Show Jumping Success

Jessica Fahey has been in Christchurch competing at the New Zealand Show Jumping Championships. Jessica was placed 2nd in the 1.10 class and 6th in the 1 metre class.
The classes were large with the average of 35 competitors in Jessica's classes.
Unfortunately Jess horse had to be put down on Sat evening after suffering a bleed to the brain.

National Track Cycling Championships

Congratulations to Lauren Archer (U17) and Paigan Marshall (U19) for being selected in the Southland team to compete in the National Age Group Track Cycling Championships from 3 - 6 March.

Rockhampton Grammar

The Verdon College First Fifteen is to host the Rockhampton Grammar for two nights of the 6th and 7th of April. They will play this team on Wednesday before they depart further north. This will be a pre-season game prior to the Highlanders Competition getting under way.

Informatics Success

Congratulations to Matt Lough who attended the New Zealand Olympiad in Informatics held at Auckland University during the holidays. Matt is training and hopes to be selected for the Olympiad which will be held in Toronto, Canada in August. We wish him every success.
